Iran’s Requirements for Indian Tourists Traveling Visa-Free: 4 Conditions to Consider

Indian tourists are now able to visit Iran for up to 15 days without needing a visa. This new visa-free entry policy, which came into effect on February 4, applies to Indian citizens and is subject to certain conditions as stated by the Iranian embassy. It is important to note that the 15-day stay period cannot be extended.

The visa-free access is specifically for individuals entering Iran for tourism purposes and only applies to those arriving in the country by air. If Indian tourists wish to stay for a longer period or make multiple entries within a six-month period, they will be required to obtain a visa. Iran joins a number of other countries, including Vietnam, Thailand, and Sri Lanka, in recent months, in easing visa rules for Indian tourists, allowing them greater access to explore these destinations.
