Wolf Attacks Increasing in Uttar Pradesh as 13-Year-Old Boy Becomes Victim admin, September 16, 2024 The wolf crisis in Uttar Pradesh began when a pack of six wolves started terrorizing 50 villages. The latest incident involved a boy named Armaan Ali, who was attacked in Pipri Mohan village and had to be taken to a nearby Community Health Center for initial treatment before being referred to the Medical College in Bahraich for further care. This attack is part of a series of wolf attacks that have affected the region. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited a village in Mahsi tehsil to meet with affected families and assure them that the government is taking necessary measures to prevent further incidents. He expressed condolences and announced that operations would continue until the area is fully safe. Five wolves have been captured by the forest department, but one remains at large, which has led to the deaths of 10 children and one woman and injuries to 51 others. In response, the government launched “Operation Bhediya” to capture the remaining wolf, with over 165 forest personnel and 18 shooters deployed in the area. They are using thermal camera-equipped drones and snap cameras to locate the wild animal. The district administration and forest department have also installed solar and high-mast lights in vulnerable areas to enhance safety. The crisis continues to pose a threat to the community, and the authorities are taking comprehensive measures to address the situation. Uttar Pradesh Wolf Crisis
