Female Solo Traveler Dies on Royal Caribbean’s 9-Month Cruise

The voyage of a nine-month Royal Caribbean world cruise, with 160 destinations, began in December 2023 from Miami. During the trip, a passenger passed away, as reported by a popular content creator and cruise enthusiast, Adita, in a TikTok video.

She witnessed the removal of the woman’s body from a cabin. The content creator shared that the ship had reached Los Angeles and announced the sad news of the passenger’s death.

According to her, the deceased was an elderly woman, and she presumed it might have been due to a heart attack. The cruise line operator confirmed the passenger’s death but did not provide details about the circumstances.

They mentioned that they were offering support and assistance to the loved ones of the deceased. The cruise ship’s itinerary included traveling through the US, Brazil, Argentina, and Peru before heading to the Asia-Pacific region.

The company stated that due to unrest in the Red Sea and Suez Canal, they were reviewing potential itinerary adjustments for the safety of their guests and crew. The company assured that they were monitoring the situation and would provide an update to their guests and travel partners regarding any changes to the itinerary in mid-February.
