Navy Veterans In Qatar Deny Shah Rukh Khan’s Involvement in Release.

On Monday, seven of the eight veterans imprisoned for 18 months on alleged spying charges arrived in India. Following their release, BJP leader and former Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy claimed that PM Narendra Modi had arranged for their release by involving a well-known actor. In response, the actor’s team denied any involvement, emphasizing that the successful resolution was solely the work of Indian government officials. They expressed happiness for the safe return of the naval officers and extended their best wishes to them.

The Bollywood star had recently been in Qatar’s capital, Doha, as a special guest of honor at the AFC final. Meanwhile, PM Modi, who was in the UAE at the time, was scheduled to visit Qatar on Wednesday to discuss ways to strengthen the ties between the two nations. One of the released navy veterans expressed gratitude to PM Modi, stating that their return would not have been possible without his personal intervention and his relationship with Qatar. The Ministry of External Affairs also welcomed their release and return to India, acknowledging the decision made by the Amir of the State of Qatar to enable their release.

It is important to note that diplomatic and statecraft matters are best handled by capable leaders, as mentioned in a statement by the actor’s team. They reiterated that like many other Indians, the actor was pleased about the safe return of the naval officers and wished them well.
