Anil Vij’s Angry Retort to Criticism Over Editing “Modi Ka Pariwar” Line on X admin, April 8, 2024 Former Haryana Minister Anil Vij has expressed dissatisfaction with BJP leaders and supporters who criticized him for adjusting the “Modi ka Pariwar” tagline in his bio on X (formerly Twitter). In a recent post on the platform, Mr. Vij accused those targeting him of foul play and suggested that they should have given him the chance to clarify the issue before launching a public attack. Following his removal from the Haryana cabinet, Mr. Vij amended his X bio to read “Anil Vij Ex – Home Minister Haryana, India.” He explained in a Hindi post that due to the number of letters in his name exceeding the limit, the tagline had to be moved below his name, inadvertently leading to misunderstandings. Expressing his allegiance to the BJP, Mr. Vij appealed for the matter to be rectified and highlighted his willingness to provide a clarification had he been approached before the public criticism. After being dropped from the cabinet and amid changes in the party leadership, Mr. Vij faced speculation and criticism. He reaffirmed his loyalty to the BJP, asserting his commitment to continuing to work for the party despite the changes. Sources within the party revealed that Mr. Vij had anticipated the top leadership position following the removal of Manohar Lal Khattar, and his reaction to Nayab Saini’s elevation as Chief Minister was rooted in his disappointment. As a six-time MLA, Mr. Vij was considered a leading candidate for the Chief Minister post when the BJP came to power in the state. However, Mr. Khattar, a first-time MLA, was ultimately chosen for the role. During Mr. Khattar’s tenure, Mr. Vij gained a reputation as a decisive and effective minister, earning popularity for his prompt resolutions to public grievances. Anil Vij
