Mayank suffered an injury during LSG’s win over Gujarat Titans. The CEO of the Super Giants, Vinod Bisht, stated that Mayank felt soreness in his lower abdominal area and would be managing his workload over the next week as a precaution. This indicates that Mayank may not be able to play in the upcoming game against Kolkata Knight Riders. The injury-prone speedster had to walk off the field after bowling just one over against the Titans.

Despite generally crossing the 150 kmph mark, he struggled to reach 140 kmph in that over, and didn’t return to the field for the rest of the match. His absence was initially attributed to a side strain. It was mentioned in a post-match presentation ceremony that Mayank seemed okay, but he had to leave the game due to the injury.
