Wrestlers in Gurugram’s Academy Dragged and Thrashed With Sticks

A group of about 20 men armed with sticks was captured on CCTV footage entering a wrestling arena and attacking the practicing players. The incident took place at around 6 am at the Navshakti academy in Naurangpur village, Gurugram district. One wrestler was pushed to the ground and repeatedly hit, while another was dragged and beaten.

The injured individuals, some with fractured limbs, were transferred to the civil hospital. An academy official expressed concern about the severity of the injuries, stating that they were not aware of any ongoing disputes. The official also mentioned that around 25-30 men had entered the academy, and some have been identified.

The trigger for the attack has not been determined. In response, the police have filed a First Information Report and initiated an investigation into the case.
