AAP says “Entire BJP accused Raaj Kumar Anand of corruption” after his resignation as minister. admin, April 10, 2024 AAP has stated that every minister and MLA is facing a test. The party pointed out that one of its leaders was under the scanner of central agencies and had their house searched in connection with an alleged corruption case. The leader, who handled the social welfare, Scheduled Castes, and Scheduled Tribes portfolio, mentioned that he joined AAP after being drawn to its strong stance against corruption. However, he has decided to leave the party due to the current situation of alleged corrupt practices within AAP. Senior AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj noted that the Enforcement Directorate had raided the house of another AAP member, and he highlighted the accusations made by the BJP against this individual. Mr Bhardwaj also emphasized the BJP’s alleged intention behind the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal, stating that every minister and MLA of Aam Aadmi Party is facing a test. He acknowledged that some individuals may retreat or have weak morale in this fight, but he expressed confidence that a large number of people within the party will face these challenging circumstances. The individual whose house was searched by the Enforcement Directorate was implicated in a customs-linked money laundering case. The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence had alleged false declarations in imports for customs evasions of over Rs 7 crore, leading to a complaint being filed against him by the ED. Atishi, a senior AAP leader and Delhi minister, had previously alleged that the BJP was attempting to poach several leaders from her party through the use of both incentives and coercion. This claim resulted in a defamation suit being filed against her by the BJP, followed by a complaint with the Election Commission. The text also reveals that Mr Anand is the first leader of AAP to publicly accuse the party of corruption since the central agencies began a series of arrests. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, his former deputy Manish Sisodia, and senior leader Satyender Jain are currently in jail, while only Sanjay Singh was released on bail last week. Delhi Politics
