One such case involved a 25-year-old student from Hyderabad, who was found dead earlier this week after moving to the US in 2023 for a Master’s at Cleveland State University. Concerns were also raised when Mohammed Abdul Arfath, who had been missing for nearly three weeks, was found dead. The consulate had been in touch with his family during the search. Since the beginning of 2024, there have been at least 11 deaths involving Indian or Indian-origin students in the US, highlighting the troubling trend.
