MK Stalin’s Twist on PM Modi’s ‘Modi Ki Guarantee’ for 2024 Lok Sabha Election in Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin criticized the Prime Minister’s frequent visits to the state, referring to them as migratory, and asking for guarantees from the Prime Minister. He also demanded specific guarantees, including reservations for various communities, employment opportunities, and changes in fuel prices, among others. Mr. Stalin’s criticism of the Prime Minister’s visits was not the first of its kind, as the Trinamool Congress had previously made similar remarks.

Mr. Stalin elaborated on his demands and emphasized that they were reflective of the people’s interests, not just the DMK’s manifesto. The Chief Minister made several promises, including reducing fuel prices and implementing a 33% reservation for women in Parliament and Assemblies. He also took jabs at Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and his son, Udhayanidhi Stalin and is awaiting the election results on June 4th.

In the 2019 election, the DMK-Congress alliance won a significant number of seats in Tamil Nadu, with the BJP not securing any.
