MK Stalin’s Twist on PM Modi’s ‘Modi Ki Guarantee’ in Tamil Nadu’s Lok Sabha Election 2024

The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin recently criticized the Prime Minister’s frequent visits to the southern state, likening it to migratory birds. He demanded guarantees on various issues including reservation for Scheduled Castes and Tribes, employment opportunities, and reducing fuel and LPG prices.

He also called for the implementation of the Swaminathan Commission’s recommendations and the cancellation of the military’s Agnipath scheme. Stalin emphasized that the guarantees are based on the needs of the people and not just a party manifesto, highlighting promises such as reducing fuel prices, scrapping the Uniform Civil Code, and providing 33 percent reservation for women in Parliament and Assemblies.

He took jabs at Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and addressed controversies surrounding his son, Udhayanidhi Stalin. The results of the election will be declared on June 4, with the DMK-Congress alliance, which won 38 out of 39 seats in the 2019 election, hoping for a successful outcome.
