He emphasized the importance of stable India-China relations for the entire world, stating that addressing the prolonged situation on the borders is urgent in order to move past the abnormality in bilateral interactions. PM Modi highlighted the significance of stable and peaceful relations between India and China for the entire region and world. He expressed his belief that through positive and constructive bilateral engagement at diplomatic and military levels, peace and tranquility can be restored and sustained at the borders. The Prime Minister also addressed the recent clashes between India and China, where 20 Indian soldiers were killed and an unspecified number of casualties occurred on the Chinese side. This led to high-level diplomatic and military talks between the two countries. Regarding India-Pakistan relations, PM Modi mentioned the 2019 Pulwama attack that resulted in the death of 40 Indian soldiers and was linked to terrorists from beyond the border.
