Ghaziabad Woman Tortures Daughter, 10, To Conceal Rape By Man, Who Also Abused Son

The girl reported to officials that her mother had intended to force her into prostitution. Additionally, she disclosed that the man had allegedly sexually abused her 13-year-old brother. The abuse had reached an intolerable point, prompting the child to flee her home in Ghaziabad on January 20. Subsequently, she was discovered wandering the streets of Delhi and handed over to the Delhi Police, who in turn entrusted her to the care of the Child Welfare Committee.

Upon undergoing a medical examination, it was revealed that the girl had been raped. She recounted that her father had passed away four years prior and since then, she had been living with her maternal grandparents. Last year, her mother had brought the siblings to her home in Ghaziabad, where the girl and her brother were subjected to repeated sexual assaults by her mother’s friend. As a result, her brother had left home due to the abuse.

The girl expressed that the final straw for her was discovering her mother’s involvement in prostitution after her father’s death and her intentions to involve her in the trade in the future. According to an official from the Loni Border police station in Ghaziabad, the child’s mother and her friend have been arrested. Assistant Commissioner of Police (Loni) Bhaskar Sharma stated that “The girl has identified her rapist as Raju, a resident of Delhi.” It was also noted that the mother had not filed a missing complaint despite the girl’s disappearance on January 20.

The child revealed that her mother and Raju had threatened and tortured her to ensure she did not disclose the abuse, even using pliers to intimidate her. The initial case was registered by the Delhi Police in January, followed by another registration at the Loni Border Police Station on April 9. Notably, the girl had initially reported being raped by her stepfather due to her fear of Raju.
