Ghaziabad Woman Tortures Daughter, 10, To Conceal Rape By Man, Who Also Abused Son admin, April 11, 2024 The girl reported to officials that her mother had intended to force her into prostitution. Additionally, a man was accused of sexually abusing the girl’s 13-year-old brother. The abuse led the girl to flee her home in Ghaziabad on January 20 and she was subsequently found wandering the streets of Delhi. She was taken into the care of the Child Welfare Committee by the Delhi Police. A medical examination confirmed that the girl had been raped. She disclosed to officials that her father passed away four years ago, and she had been living with her maternal grandparents until her mother brought her and her brother to their home in Ghaziabad the previous year. There, she was subjected to repeated sexual assaults by her mother’s friend, who had also abused her younger brother. Her brother had left home due to the abuse. The girl mentioned that her breaking point was discovering her mother’s involvement in prostitution following her father’s death, and her mother’s intention to involve her in the same trade when she grew older. Both her mother and the friend were subsequently arrested by officials from the Loni Border police station in Ghaziabad. Assistant Commissioner of Police Bhaskar Sharma stated that the girl was able to identify her rapist as Raju, a resident of Delhi. The mother had not reported her daughter missing and, according to the girl, her mother and Raju threatened and tortured her using pliers to ensure her silence. The case was initially filed by the Delhi Police in January and later by the Loni Border Police Station on April 9. The girl, initially intimidated by Raju, had initially stated that her stepfather was the perpetrator. Child Welfare and Protection
