The LSG cricket team is facing setbacks as pace sensation Mayank Yadav is ruled out of the IPL 2024 due to injury. Mayank, who had been tipped for the T20 World Cup, became a sensation after consistently bowling at 150kmph plus on his IPL debut. He had to leave the field after bowling just one over against Gujarat Titans due to a hip issue, and an MRI scan revealed a small swelling.

The team is hopeful that he will recover soon and be back in action. LSG’s head coach, Justin Langer, expressed the team’s hope for Mayank to regain full fitness before the upcoming games. He mentioned that Mayank will not be able to play the next two games due to the short turnaround but is working hard to return to the field as soon as possible.

Langer also provided an update on left-arm pacer Mohsin Khan, who has also been sidelined due to injury. He stated that Khan is making progress and may be available for the upcoming games, potentially adding valuable pace to the team’s bowling attack. The team is set to face Delhi Capitals and then travel to Kolkata for an away game, with hopes of Mayank and Khan recovering in time for future matches.
