Congress Suffers Major Setback as 400 Workers in Rajasthan Leave Party

On Monday, Congress suspended three party workers for six years. The Congress has formed an alliance with the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) on the Nagaur Lok Sabha seat, leaving it vacant for the RLP.

Nagaur MP and RLP Chief Hanuman Beniwal was fielded here by the Congress. Soon after the suspension of these Congress leaders, there was a furore among Congress workers in Nagaur.

Tejpal Mirdha, former MLA Bhararam, Kuchera Municipality Chairperson, and Sukharam Dodwadiya were the suspended Congress leaders. Tejpal Mirdha expressed discontent, questioning the alliance formation with the RLP.

He criticized Hanuman Beniwal and the Congress high command for imposing the alliance without the consent of the local party unit. Mirdha voiced his disapproval, stating that the Congress had deviated from its previous principles.

He emphasized the need for the Congress high command to recognize that the party is weakening itself in Rajasthan and urged for the removal of such individuals. Additionally, Varun Purohit, a Congress worker, dismissed the situation as propaganda by the BJP, implying that it was fake news.
