Couple’s Police Station Aarti in Madhya Pradesh Ends in Trouble

The incident involving a couple attempting to garland and put a shawl on a town inspector as a symbolic gesture of embarrassment has gained attention. The video of the event, which occurred on April 6, has been widely circulated on social media. The town inspector, JP Patel, was seen leaving his chamber after failing to address the situation.

The couple, Anuradha and Kuldeep Soni, have faced consequences for their actions, including a police case and criticism from the Madhya Pradesh High Court. Patel expressed his view on the incident, stating, “It was meant to insult me and obstruct the administrative work.” He also mentioned that the couple had recorded the incident at the police station and live-streamed it on Facebook without permission.

Earlier in January, the couple filed a complaint at the Rewa police station, accusing the accused of a crime. However, the accused managed to evade authorities and later obtained bail from the Madhya Pradesh High Court. Feeling that the accused had escaped punishment and blaming the police for it, the Sonis resorted to their unconventional protest, prompting the police to register a case against them.

The High Court has also taken note of the incident inside the police station and deemed it inappropriate.
