Iran Capable of Striking Israel within 24 Hours, US Deploys Warships to Support Ally

The United States has recently moved its warships out of fear of a potential attack on Israel by Iran. This includes moving two Navy destroyers to the Eastern Mediterranean Sea and increasing diplomatic efforts to ease tensions in the region. To address the escalating situation, President Biden has sent the head of US Central Command, General Michael Kurilla, to Israel for urgent talks on the threat from Iran. This comes after heightened tensions between the two countries, including an Israeli airstrike on the Iran consulate in Damascus, prompting Iran to declare its preparedness for war and a determination to retaliate against Israel. As a result of these developments, Israel has heightened its state of alert, canceling home leave for combat troops, calling up reserves, and bolstering its air defenses.
