Rahul Gandhi Takes Break From Poll Campaign, Enjoys ‘Gulab Jamuns’

Rahul Gandhi’s unexpected visit to Coimbatore left everyone pleasantly surprised. He stopped by for a meeting and took the opportunity to indulge in some sweets.

Showing his preference for (Gulab) Jamun, he purchased a kilogram of the treat and also sampled other sweets on display. His presence brought joy to both the staff and the locals.

Despite the unexpectedness of his visit, he stayed for a substantial 25-30 minutes. The staff, caught off guard, insisted that he not pay for the sweets, but Rahul Gandhi insisted on doing so.

Additionally, he purchased the famous sweet Mysore Pak, which he later gifted to DMK chief MK Stalin, as reported by the Congress party on the micro-blogging site X.

Tamil Nadu is set to have polling for 39 Lok Sabha seats in the 1st phase of the general elections on April 19, with the vote count scheduled for June 4. In the 2019 general elections, the Congress-DMK-led alliance achieved a remarkable victory, securing 38 out of 39 seats in the state, leaving the AIADMK with only one seat.
