24-Year-Old Indian Student Chirag Antil Killed in Canada While Sitting in His Audi

The Vancouver Police announced that Chirag Antil, 24, was found dead inside a vehicle in the area after neighbors reported hearing gunshots. Responding to calls at East 55th Avenue and Main Street around 11 pm on April 12, officers discovered Chirag Antil deceased in the vehicle. Chirag Antil’s brother, Ronit, informed reporters that Chirag seemed happy during their morning phone conversation. Chirag subsequently left in his Audi before being fatally shot.

Varun Choudhary, the National Students’ Union of India chief, reached out to the Ministry of External Affairs on social media, urging swift action regarding the murder of Chirag Antil, an Indian student in Vancouver. He requested the ministry to closely monitor the investigation’s progress and ensure prompt justice, in addition to providing vital support to the family during this challenging time. Local media reported that Chirag Antil’s family is seeking financial aid through the crowdfunding platform GoFundMe to repatriate his body to India. Romit Antil shared, “My brother and I had a great relationship.

We used to talk every day, day and night. I spoke to him last before the accident happened. He was kind of happy, he never had any issues or fights with anyone, ever. He was an extremely polite person.”

Chirag Antil arrived in Vancouver in September 2022 and had just completed his MBA at University Canada West, recently obtaining his work permit.
