US Teacher Arrested for Having Sexual Relations with Student in Car

Ms Sawicki, a 37-year-old English teacher at Hamilton High School West in Trenton, New Jersey, was arrested and taken into custody on Monday. She has been accused of sexually assaulting a student at the Assunpink Wildlife Management Area on multiple occasions this year. Ms Sawicki has been charged with five counts of second-degree sexual assault and five counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

According to reports, the alleged incidents took place in the back seat of the student’s car. The teenager involved was described as “at least 16 but not yet 18.” Ms Sawicki is currently being held at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution until a detention hearing the following week.

The school district took immediate action to place Ms Sawicki on administrative leave following her arrest. The district stated that they have no tolerance for any actions that harm or could potentially harm their students. The principal and superintendent of the Hamilton Township School District expressed that the alleged incident goes against their professional standards and is far removed from their expectations for employee conduct.

They also mentioned that there is no indication that any of the alleged actions took place on school property. Following her arrest, Ms Sawicki’s profile was removed from the school website’s teacher directory. Previously, she had been working at the school for seven years.

In her now-deleted profile page, she had expressed her enjoyment in getting to know the students and helping them become the best versions of themselves as they strive for their futures.
