DFW airport, with five terminals and 168 gates, recently secured a $35 million federal grant for a new zero-carbon electrical plant to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2030. This airport has seen a significant increase in passenger numbers, jumping from the 16th spot to the 5th place in 2023, making it the most improved airport of the year. The DEN underwent a capacity expansion project in 2022, adding 39 new gates, bringing its total to 90 gates across three terminals. Similarly, Istanbul Airport is aiming to handle up to 200 million travelers annually, making it significantly larger than its predecessor, Ataturk International Airport. The Indira Gandhi International Airport serves as the main international gateway to India’s capital, with Terminals 1, 2, and 3. Terminal 3 is notable for being the largest single terminal in India and the fifth largest globally.
