Bengal BJP Chief’s Assets Surge by 114% Since 2019, Report Reveals admin, April 16, 2024 The assets of BJP’s state president Sukanta Majumdar, who is seeking re-election from the Balurghat seat, have seen a 114 per cent rise since 2019, according to a report. This information was revealed by the analysis of self-sworn affidavits of all 47 candidates contesting from three constituencies of West Bengal – Darjeeling, Balurghat, and Raiganj – set to go to polls in the second phase on April 26. Mr Bista, who filed his affidavit during the 2019 elections, had assets worth over Rs 15 crore. Interestingly, in the present election’s affidavit, he declared assets worth Rs 47 crore, showing an increase of over Rs 32 crore.
