Delhi Man Allegedly Slits Daughter and Cousin’s Throats Over Suspected Affair admin, April 16, 2024 A police team reached Gali No 5, North Ghonda, and arrested the duo after receiving a call from the police control room. The incident took place in east Delhi’s Bhajanpura area at around 4:30 p.m. Two individuals, Danish and Shaina, were identified as the deceased. Danish, 35, was from Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr, while Shaina, 22, was a resident of Ghonda. The caller who reported the incident stated that his sister and uncle had been murdered, and he wanted to surrender. The accused, identified as Mohd Shahid, 46, and his son Kudush, 20, were taken into custody. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police, Northeast, Joy Tirkey, the motive behind the murders was the suspicion that Shaina and Danish were having an illicit love affair. Both victims had their throats slit with a large knife; Shaina’s hands and feet were bound with a chunni and a lungi. Danish was killed first, followed by Shaina. Kudush reported the crime to the PCR, and subsequently, the crime and forensic science laboratory teams arrived at the scene.
