Glenn Maxwell Takes Indefinite Break From IPL 2024, Explains Decision To RCB

He mentioned that he isn’t in a good mental or physical state and has decided to take a break. Maxwell stated that his decision was easy, and he wants to give himself a break to get in a better mental and physical space. He also acknowledged that he hasn’t been contributing positively with the bat and feels it’s a good time to give someone else an opportunity to shine.

This isn’t the first time Maxwell has taken a break from cricket due to mental fatigue. He believes T20 cricket can be unpredictable and mentioned a specific instance from a previous game where he felt he missed an opportunity. Maxwell feels that things just haven’t been going his way in the tournament, despite making good decisions in previous games.
