Arvind Kejriwal Diabetes: AAP Claims “Plan To Kill Arvind Kejriwal In Jail” Amid “Eating Mangoes” Row admin, April 18, 2024 The Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, is reportedly at risk of a plan to harm him by incarcerating him, according to a statement by Atishi, a member of his party. She emphasized Kejriwal’s long-standing struggle with severe diabetes, disclosing that he requires a daily intake of 54 units of insulin to manage his condition. Atishi pointed out that the court granted permission for Kejriwal to have home-cooked meals and follow a specific dietary regimen due to his health condition. Atishi accused the Bharatiya Janata Party and its affiliate, the ED, of attempting to compromise Kejriwal’s health, stating that the ED made false claims in court. The ED expressed concerns about the Chief Minister’s dietary habits, highlighting his consumption of mangoes, sweets, and sweetened tea, which are not recommended for diabetics. Atishi challenged these claims and asserted that the court order allows Kejriwal to have specific sweets and fruits as per his doctor’s prescription. Furthermore, Atishi addressed the ED, urging them to consult with diabetes specialists and to respect the court’s directive regarding Kejriwal’s dietary requirements and personal items during his custody. She criticized the ED for misrepresenting Kejriwal’s eating habits and accused the agency of not adhering to the court’s instructions. Kejriwal has been implicated in a corruption case related to a policy that has since been revoked, and he has contested his arrest in the Supreme Court. Despite seeking an early hearing, the court has scheduled the ED’s response to be heard on April 29, leading to a delay in the resolution of the matter. Arvind Kejriwal
