YouTuber Vikas Gowda Arrested for False Claim of Spending Day at Bengaluru Airport admin, April 18, 2024 Vikas Gowda, a resident of Yelahanka in Bengaluru, entered the airport on April 7 at around 12 pm with a ticket for a Chennai-bound Air India flight, according to the police. Instead of boarding the flight, he was seen roaming around the airport premises and recording a video on his mobile phone. On April 12, he uploaded the video on his YouTube channel, claiming to have spent an entire day at the airport and ventured into restricted areas, which was later deleted. Reportedly, after clearing security at Terminal-2 of the Kempegowda International Airport and heading towards the boarding lounge, he chose not to board the plane and instead spent nearly six hours at the airport. Subsequently, he left the airport, informing security personnel that he had missed his flight. As he had a valid ticket and boarding pass, the security personnel did not suspect anything. Investigations revealed that his actions were for publicity and the claims made in the video were exaggerated, leading to a case being registered against Gowda under Sections 505 and 448 of the Indian Penal Code based on a complaint from a Central Industrial Security Force official. He was arrested and later released on bail. *(Please note that the headline has not been edited by NDTV staff and is published from a syndicated feed. )* Yelahanka, Bengaluru
