Actress Harshika Poonacha and her husband Bhuvann Ponnannaa attacked by a mob in Bengaluru.

Actor Harshika Poonacha shared a distressing incident on social media, detailing how she and her husband were harassed by a group of men in Bangalore. The actress described the ordeal in an extensive Instagram post, including videos and photos of the alleged attackers. She emphasized the issue of safety for locals in the city, raising concerns about the incident.

According to Poonacha, the harassment occurred after she and her family had dinner at a restaurant in the Pulikeshi Nagar area. As they were leaving in their car, two men approached and started arguing about the vehicle’s size. The situation escalated when the men began to abuse and physically threaten them, targeting them specifically for speaking in Kannada.

The actress alleged that around 30 men from the same group gathered and attempted to snatch her husband’s gold chain, causing damage to their car in the process. Despite the distressing encounter, Harshika Poonacha was eventually able to disperse the men with the help of an inspector she knew from the area, although she claimed that the local police provided no assistance. Expressing frustration with the police’s response, Poonacha called out the Assistant Sub-Inspector for his apathy and lack of interest in addressing the incident.

Despite the ordeal, the actress mentioned that they did not file a formal police complaint due to prioritizing their safety. In response to the incident, the police stated that no formal complaint had been received at the time, but they had reached out to the individuals involved to encourage them to report the incident. Harshika Poonacha expressed her family’s hesitation to file a formal complaint due to safety concerns.
