Hyderabad Lok Sabha Election: Madhavi Latha, Candidate for BJP, Discusses “Imaginary Arrow” at Mosque admin, April 19, 2024 Madhavi Latha is the BJP’s candidate for the Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat. After a controversial video surfaced, she posted a statement on Thursday evening, expressing apologies if anyone’s feelings were hurt. She also claimed the circulated video was incomplete. In the video, she is seen gesturing as if drawing and shooting an imaginary arrow, which is followed by loud music. The clip shifts to show a mosque at the point where the ‘arrow’ is fired. In response to the criticism, Latha stated that the video being circulated to create negativity is incomplete and offered apologies to anyone who might have been hurt by it. She further claimed that this was a conspiracy to malign the BJP’s image and reiterated the party’s commitment to working positively with both Hindu and Muslim communities. She questioned the appearance of the mosque in the video and accused opponents of trying to divert people’s attention from real issues. On the other hand, Mr. Owaisi, a vocal critic of the BJP, refused to back down and accused the party of attempting to provoke people with vulgar actions. He emphasized the importance of peace and brotherhood in Telangana and expressed confidence in the public voting against the BJP, which they see as a threat to peace. Additionally, Mr. Owaisi’s party has urged the Election Commission to take action. In the upcoming 2024 elections, all 17 seats in Telangana, including Hyderabad, will vote on May 17, and the results will be announced on June 4. Hyderabad Politics
