Surbhi Jain passed away at the age of 30. She had a large following on Instagram and was undergoing treatment for ovarian cancer. Her family announced her death on her official social media accounts and shared that she was cremated on April 19 in Ghaziabad. This was the second time she had been diagnosed with cancer, having undergone a major surgery at the age of 27 after her first diagnosis.

In her last Instagram post, she had expressed her struggle with her health and the difficulty of the ongoing treatment. Ovarian cancer is the third most common cancer in women in India, causing more fatalities than any other gynecological cancer. The cancer has a stealthy and rapid progression with symptoms that can be mistaken for less serious conditions, as noted in a study by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). Surbhi Jain’s story sheds light on the challenges and impact of ovarian cancer, a disease that is often diagnosed after it has grown beyond the ovaries.

Despite her struggles, she had continued to create content to keep herself busy and faced each day with a smile after her first surgery.
