Dhani Ram Mittal: Deceased at 85, Posing as Judge and Bailing Out Criminals admin, April 21, 2024 The police reported that a man identified as Mittal passed away at the age of 85 on a Thursday due to health problems. He was notorious for his involvement in more than 150 theft cases in Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, and Rajasthan. Mittal had a long history of criminal activities, having been incarcerated over 90 times and directly connected to over 1,000 cases of theft, cheating, impersonation, and forgery according to a senior police officer. Mittal’s criminal record dates back to 1964 when he was first involved in a case of cheating. He was known for stealing cars from the parking lot of a court in Haryana for personal use. Additionally, he once impersonated a judge in Jhajjar and issued orders to release criminals serving lengthy sentences. Despite being well-educated, with a BSc degree with first-class honors from Rohtak and an LLB from Rajasthan, Mittal engaged in criminal activities. He worked as a clerk for various advocates, stole cars, forged documents, and even managed to secure a job as a station master. In 2016, at the age of 77, he was arrested for stealing a car, marking his 95th arrest. Reportedly, Mittal died on Thursday after suffering from an illness and a cardiac arrest.
