Gujarat Man Establishes Donkey Farm, Sells Donkey Milk Online for Rs 5,000 per Litre. admin, April 21, 2024 Dhiren Solanki, a resident of Gujarat, has established a successful donkey farm in his village, where he is producing and supplying donkey milk to clients in southern states. Starting with 20 donkeys and an investment of Rs 22 lakh, Solanki faced difficulties initially due to the low demand for donkey milk in Gujarat. However, he later found clients in Karnataka and Kerala, including cosmetic companies that utilize donkey milk in their products. The price of donkey milk is significantly higher than that of cow milk, ranging from Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,000 compared to Rs 65 per liter. Additionally, the milk is also sold in powdered form at prices reaching up to about a lakh for 1 kg. To ensure its freshness, the milk is stored in freezers. As of now, Solanki has 42 donkeys in his farm and has invested about 38 lakh rupees. Despite not receiving any state government assistance, he hopes that the government will focus on this sector in the future. Donkey milk has various health benefits and has been historically associated with medical use. It is more similar to human milk than cow milk, making it suitable for infants, particularly those with cow milk allergies. Furthermore, scientific studies have highlighted its potential in regulating intestinal microflora, boosting immunity, and possessing anti-diabetic qualities. Donkey milk is also known for its higher shelf life due to the absence of certain pathogens found in other types of milk. Overall, despite its limited availability, donkey milk commands high prices due to its many benefits and unique properties. Donkey Milk Farming
