Government Worker Killed in Targeted Attack in Rajouri, J&K

Another targeted attack in Jammu and Kashmir resulted in the tragic death of a government employee this evening. Mohammad Razaq was shot and killed by unidentified gunmen as he exited a mosque in the Shadra Sharief area of Rajouri. Despite being rushed to a hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. The 40-year-old was employed in the social welfare department.

In response to the incident, security personnel swiftly arrived at the scene and commenced a large-scale cordon and search operation in an effort to locate the perpetrators. This distressing event follows the recent shootings of two non-local individuals in Anantnag and Herpora districts. In Anantnag, a migrant worker from Bihar fell victim to a targeted attack and lost his life. Only a week prior, a resident of Dehradun was attacked by terrorists in Herpora, located in south Kashmir.

These senseless acts of violence highlight the ongoing security challenges faced by the region, as innocent individuals continue to be targeted by armed assailants.
