Mohan Yadav Explains Why His Children Choose Not to Live at the Chief Minister’s Residence

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is strict about his priorities. He does not allow his three children to stay with him in the official Chief Minister’s bungalow. According to him, focusing on family might interfere with his responsibilities and “dilute” it. Mr. Yadav, 49, a first-time Chief Minister, has a daughter and two sons.

He expressed concern for his child who is studying in Bhopal, stating that the environment might disturb his studies. He emphasized the importance of his child’s focus on education. Even when his daughter was doing her MBBS course in Bhopal, he insisted she study in a hostel. The Chief Minister believes that his family understands and supports his stance on this issue.

He expressed satisfaction that his family has a positive approach towards this decision. When asked if he is being too tough on his family, Mr. Yadav justified his stance, stating that it is necessary to toughen up to maintain responsibilities. He emphasized the importance of avoiding a sole focus on family, as it might dilute their responsibilities. Overall, Mr. Yadav stressed the need for carefulness and a balanced approach as one grows.
