Mohan Yadav Explains Why His Children Choose Not to Stay at the Chief Minister’s Residence admin, April 22, 2024 Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is dedicated to his duties, to the extent that his three children do not reside with him in the official Chief Minister’s bungalow. He believes that focusing on family might interfere with his responsibilities and “dilute” his focus. Mr. Yadav, aged 49 and a first-time Chief Minister, has a daughter and two sons. During an exclusive interview with NDTV’s Editor-in-Chief Sanjay Pugalia, he explained that his child is studying in Bhopal and he believes that being in the official environment might disrupt his studies. His daughter also pursued her MBBS course in Bhopal and was encouraged to live in a hostel. Mr. Yadav emphasized that his children understood and accepted this arrangement and expressed satisfaction with the positive approach towards it in his family. When questioned about being too strict on the family, Mr. Yadav defended his stance, stating that toughening up is essential. He believes that focusing solely on family might dilute their responsibilities and emphasized the need to protect against such sentiments.
