The Prime Minister addressed a rally in Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh, where he criticized members of the opposition bloc, stating that they have lost hope for the future. He accused them of focusing solely on their families and their greed for power, questioning their commitment to the development of India.

He also warned against Congress’s manifesto, claiming that it aims to scrutinize individuals’ income and property, and potentially redistribute it. The Congress manifesto, which the Prime Minister referenced, outlines a plan for nationwide socio-economic and caste census to address inequality and discrimination.

It emphasizes the need for affirmative action to support the backward and oppressed classes and castes. However, the manifesto does not propose redistributing private property.

During the rally, the Prime Minister reiterated his concerns, alleging that the Congress plans to change the law and seize women’s jewelry, as well as conduct surveys to seize individuals’ property. He compared their proposed actions to a Maoist and Communist mindset, asserting that they want to implement such policies in India.

The Prime Minister’s remarks in Aligarh and previous comments in Rajasthan have sparked controversy and drawn criticism from the Opposition. Their leader accused him of violating the model code of conduct and targeting the Constitution, while the Congress chief emphasized their manifesto’s focus on equality and justice for all.
