Rahul Gandhi Accuses BJP of “Lies, Conspires” as BJP Approaches Election Commission for 2024 Lok Sabha Election

BJP leader Tarun Chugh recently expressed concerns about Rahul Gandhi’s attempts to spark conflict based on language and regional differences. Chugh reported these concerns to the Election Commission, describing Gandhi as a habitual liar and conspirator who diverts people’s attention.

The BJP leader’s comments came in response to the Congress approaching the Election Commission to demand action against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement about the Congress redistributing the nation’s wealth to imposters if they come to power. The Prime Minister had criticized the Congress manifesto, stating that it promised to survey everyone’s property, calculate the gold belonging to mothers and sisters, and redistribute it, even targeting mangalsutras.

The Congress vehemently criticized these remarks as “divisive” and urged the Election Commission to take action, asserting that the PM’s comments were “far worse than any ever made by a sitting Prime Minister in the history of India”. They stressed that such behavior should not go unchecked, unanswered, and unpunished.

Additionally, the party raised concerns about the Election Commission’s inaction in penalizing PM Modi and the BJP for repeatedly invoking religious sentiments, labeling it as a “blatant and direct violation of electoral laws.”
