Theft of Wallets and Mobiles Occurs During BJP Candidate’s Ramayan Roadshow

During a roadshow in Meerut, a businessman named Kulbhushan lost Rs 36,000 after someone from the crowd pickpocketed him. This incident was part of a series of muggings, as a dozen people, including journalists and a BJP leader, had their mobile phones stolen during the same roadshow.

Arun Govil, the BJP’s candidate in Meerut and well-known for his role in Ramayan, had posted an announcement inviting people to Nandan Cinema Kailashpuri, New Road, Shastri Nagar, Surajkund, to meet the actors who played Sita, Ram, and Laxman in the iconic show. The roadshow also featured his co-stars Dipika Chikhlia and Sunil Lahri.

Expressing his disappointment, Kulbhushan shared that after joining the crowd in chanting Jai Shri Ram, he discovered his money was missing from his pocket, leading to him fainting. The police have detained three individuals for questioning, and an investigation is ongoing.
