Amit Shah’s 2024 Lok Sabha Election Message: “Vote For BJP Or Face Consequences,” Warns Mamata Banerjee admin, April 23, 2024 Mr Shah addressed a rally at Karandighi in Bengal’s Uttar Dinajpur district to garner support for the BJP candidate from Raiganj, Kartik Paul. In 2019, the BJP had won the Raiganj seat, and this time, Trinamool has fielded Krishna Kalyani, an MLA, for the same seat. The voting for Raiganj is scheduled for the second phase on Friday. During the rally, Mr Shah criticized the Bengal Chief Minister, stating that she cannot stop infiltration into the border state, and only Prime Minister Narendra Modi can prevent it. He urged the crowd to give the BJP 35 seats this time, promising to stop infiltration if they did so. Mr Shah also brought up the Sandeshkhali row, where he accused Mamata Banerjee of allowing women to be tortured in order to safeguard her vote bank. He mentioned that the High Court had intervened, resulting in the arrest of the accused. Mr Shah also highlighted the Calcutta High Court’s order scrapping about 25,000 appointments of government school staff over alleged irregularities, with accusations that large sums of money were exchanged for these positions. He emphasized on Mamata Banerjee’s campaign slogan of Maa, Maati, Manush, and claimed that in Sandeshkhali, none of these were being protected due to corruption. Accusing the ruling Trinamool of corruption, Mr Shah made allegations about the personal wealth of TMC leaders, claiming they had made significant financial gains since coming into power. Additionally, Mr Shah promised that the Centre would set up an AIIMS in north Bengal if the BJP returned to power, claiming that Mamata Banerjee had previously obstructed this development.
