Sanju Samson has support for India captaincy after Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya are overlooked.

Harbhajan Singh has been suggested by many to take over as India’s white-ball captain after Rohit Sharma, but he has expressed a different opinion. Following Rajasthan Royals’ win over Mumbai Indians, Harbhajan took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his thoughts. He emphasized that form is temporary and praised Yashasvi Jaiswal’s performance as proof of a player’s enduring class. Harbhajan also expressed his firm belief in Sanju Samson’s abilities, citing the latter’s outstanding form for the Royals.

Samson has been a standout player for the team, not only with his impressive batting performances but also as a leader. With a total of 314 runs at an average of 62.80 and a strike-rate of 152.42 in the IPL 2024, Samson has certainly made a strong case for himself. In contrast, Hardik Pandya has struggled to make an impact in the current season, whether as a batsman, bowler, or captain. Despite his potential, his performance has not matched Samson’s consistency and impact.
