Sanju Samson Supported for Indian Captaincy Post Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya Snubbed

Harbhajan Singh has expressed his belief in Sanju Samson as the next T20 captain for India after Rohit Sharma. Following a 9-wicket win by Rajasthan Royals over Mumbai Indians, Harbhajan tweeted about Samson’s form and leadership capabilities.

He praised Yashasvi Jaiswal’s performance as a testament to the permanence of class in cricket, stating that form is temporary. Harbhajan urged for no debate on the keeper batsman and emphasized Samson’s potential for the T20 World Cup.

Samson’s exceptional form for the Royals in the IPL 2024 has been notable, with him being the second-highest run-scorer for the franchise. He has accumulated 314 runs in 8 games at an average of 62.80 and a strike-rate of 152.42.

In contrast, Hardik Pandya has struggled in the current season, both with bat and ball, as well as in his role as captain.
