BJP Leader Expelled for Criticizing PM Modi’s Remarks on Minority Morcha

Bikaner BJP Minority Morcha district president Usman Ghani has been expelled from the party. This decision came after Mr. Ghani made statements to a news channel in New Delhi, predicting that the BJP would lose three to four Lok Sabha seats out of 25 in Rajasthan.

He also criticized Prime Minister Modi’s remarks regarding Muslims during election rallies in the state. Mr. Ghani expressed disappointment as a Muslim and stated that community members ask him for answers about the PM’s remarks when he seeks votes for the BJP.

Furthermore, he mentioned that the Jat community in the state is angry with the BJP and voted against the party in Churu and other constituencies. Despite anticipating possible action from the party for his statements, Mr. Ghani was later expelled from the primary membership of the BJP for six years by the disciplinary committee chairman Onkar Singh Lakhawat.

The party justified its decision, stating that Mr. Ghani had attempted to tarnish the party’s image in the media. Bikaner’s Lok Sabha seat went to polls in the first phase on April 19.
