BJP Minority Morcha Leader Criticizes PM Narendra Modi, Expelled admin, April 24, 2024 Bikaner BJP Minority Morcha district president Usman Ghani recently made comments that led to his expulsion from the party. Ghani had suggested that the BJP would lose three to four Lok Sabha seats out of 25 in Rajasthan and condemned PM Modi’s remarks about Muslims during election rallies in the state. Ghani, a Muslim himself, expressed disappointment at the Prime Minister’s comments and stated that the Jat community was also angry with the BJP in the state and voted against the party in certain constituencies. Ghani was unafraid of potential consequences for his statements. Following the surfacing of a video in which Ghani made these remarks, the BJP state disciplinary committee chairman Onkar Singh Lakhawat accused Ghani of attempting to tarnish the party’s image in the media. As a result, Ghani was expelled from the party for six years for breaching discipline. In response to the controversy, PM Modi suggested at a rally in Banswara, Rajasthan, that if the Congress comes to power, it would “redistribute” wealth to Muslims and alleged that the Congress plans to give hard-earned money and valuables to “infiltrators” and those with more children. These remarks have drawn backlash from several opposition parties. The Bikaner Lok Sabha seat went to polls in the first phase on April 19th.
