BJP Minority Morcha Leader Criticizes PM Narendra Modi, Faces Expulsion

Bikaner BJP Minority Morcha district president Usman Ghani has been expelled from the party. This decision came after Mr. Ghani made remarks during an interview with a news channel in New Delhi, where he predicted that the BJP would lose three to four Lok Sabha seats out of the 25 in Rajasthan. Additionally, he expressed disapproval of PM Modi’s comments about Muslims during election rallies in the state.

Mr. Ghani, himself a Muslim, stated that the community has expressed disappointment in the Prime Minister’s remarks and seeks clarification when he approaches them for votes. Moreover, Mr. Ghani mentioned that the Jat community in the state is discontent with the BJP and has voted against the party in certain constituencies. Even in the face of potential consequences from the party, he affirmed that he was not afraid to express his opinions.

BJP state disciplinary committee chairman Onkar Singh Lakhawat condemned Mr. Ghani’s actions, stating that the party took action to expel him for attempting to tarnish the party’s image in the media. Usman Ghani was expelled from the primary membership of the party for six years due to breach of discipline. The incident occurred ahead of the polls for the Bikaner Lok Sabha seat, which took place on April 19.

Meanwhile, PM Modi’s comments at a rally in Rajasthan’s Banswara, where he insinuated that the Congress plans to redistribute wealth to Muslims if they come to power, have stirred controversy. He alleged that the Congress intends to give the hard-earned money and valuables of the people to “infiltrators” and those with larger families, prompting criticism from various opposition parties.
