BJP Minority Morcha Leader Expelled for Criticizing PM Narendra Modi’s Remarks

Bikaner BJP Minority Morcha district president Usman Ghani has been expelled from the party. This decision came after Mr. Ghani spoke to a news channel in New Delhi where he mentioned his belief that the BJP was going to lose three to four Lok Sabha seats out of 25 seats in Rajasthan and condemned PM Modi’s remarks regarding Muslims during election rallies in the state. When questioned about PM Modi’s comments about Muslims, Mr. Ghani expressed disappointment as a Muslim and shared that people in the community asked him to address the Prime Minister’s remarks when he sought votes for the BJP.

Additionally, he mentioned that the Jat community in the state had voted against the party in Churu and other constituencies. Mr. Ghani stated that he was unafraid of any consequences from the party for his statements. A video of Mr. Ghani speaking to a news channel reporter made its way onto social media, causing BJP state disciplinary committee chairman Onkar Singh Lakhawat to accuse Mr. Ghani of attempting to damage the party’s image in the media.

Consequently, Usman Ghani was expelled from the primary membership of the party for six years for breaching discipline.
