2024 Lok Sabha Elections: Sudha Murty gets Narayana Murthy discharged from hospital to vote.

Narayana Murthy emphasized the importance of responsible voting, urging people to make use of their right to vote, which only occurs once in five years. He stressed the significance of thoughtful consideration before casting a vote.

Despite his ill health, the 77-year-old Infosys founder made the effort to vote, as confirmed by his wife, Sudha Murty. She mentioned his hospitalization and subsequent discharge in order to fulfill his civic duty.

Sudha Murty highlighted the nobility of voting and encouraged citizens, particularly the youth, to participate in the electoral process. She expressed her desire for a higher voter turnout, especially in Bengaluru, which is known for its low participation.

Stating that she herself would be standing in the queue to vote, she urged the younger generation to join in and exercise their right. Rahul Dravid, the head coach of the Indian men’s cricket team, echoed the sentiments of encouraging voter participation.

He emphasized the importance of citizens participating in the democratic process and the need for a substantial turnout, especially among the youth and first-time voters. Dravid also praised the arrangements made for the elections and called for a record turnout in Bengaluru.
