Tragic Discovery: 2 Children From Mumbai Found Dead in Locked Car After Hours of Being Missing

Police have reported that two children, Muskan Mohabbat Shaikh (5) and Sajid Mohammed Shaikh (7), were found suffocated to death after being locked inside a car. The children had been playing outside their homes, where the car was parked, on Wednesday afternoon.

When they did not return home, their parents started searching for them and eventually lodged a missing persons report at the Antop Hill police station. A few hours later, an onlooker discovered the children lying unconscious inside the car.

Despite being rushed to the hospital, the children were declared dead by doctors. Initial investigations suggest that the kids suffocated as they were unable to unlock the car from the inside.

The police are examining CCTV footage from the area and are exploring all possible angles. At present, the case has been registered as an accidental death.
