Virender Sehwag asks for GBP 10,000 a day from Sky Sports for cricket commentary. This is their reply.

During a recent interaction, Virender Sehwag disclosed that he turned down an offer from an English broadcaster to join its panel. When asked about his price, he jokingly replied, “But you can’t afford me,” and then set his price at GBP 10,000 a day. The broadcaster ultimately declined.

Similarly, he also mentioned being offered $100,000 by a BBL franchise, which he rejected. This conversation arose when Adam Gilchrist asked Sehwag if Indian players would play in the Big Bash League. Sehwag responded in a witty manner, stating that Indian cricketers are financially comfortable and don’t need to play in other leagues.

He humorously remarked, “We are rich people, we don’t go to poor countries.” Sehwag reminisced about receiving the BBL offer when he was dropped from the Indian team. The significant amount did not sway him, as he indicated that he could spend that money on his holidays, citing an expensive hotel bill as an example.
