Following the incident, he was airlifted to Harare for emergency surgery. The news was shared by his wife, Hannah Stooks Whittall, on social media, along with images of his injuries. Hannah expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and reassured well-wishers that Guy was stabilized at Hippo Clinic by the staff and airlifted to Harare for further treatment at Milton Park Hospital. Mr. Whittall, who runs a safari business in Zimbabwe, was attacked while trekking through the conservancy he operates at Humani, Zimbabwe. This is not the first time he has had close encounters with wildlife. In 2013, he discovered a large crocodile beneath his bed at the Humani lodge, weighing 150 kg. Over the past decade, Mr. Whittall represented Zimbabwe in 46 Tests and 147 ODIs, demonstrating his experience and long-standing connection to the country. Guy Whittall
