Farmer’s Son From Remote Maharashtra Village Tops JEE Mains All India Ranking admin, April 26, 2024 Nilkrishna Gajare, the son of a farmer from a remote village, achieved All India Rank 1 in JEE Mains. Hailing from Belkhed, a remote village in Washim, Nilkrishna dedicated more than 10 hours every day to prepare for the exams. The National Testing Agency announced the results of the JEE Mains on Thursday. In an interview with PTI over the phone, Nilkrishna’s father, Nirmal Gajare, expressed his happiness over his son’s success. Nilkrishna did his primary schooling at Rajeshwar Convent in Akola and J C High School in Karanja Lad in Washim. According to his father, Nilkrishna has always been a brilliant student and excelled in sports, participating in district and national level tournaments in archery. Currently, the 19-year-old is pursuing his studies at Shree Dnyaneshwar Maskuji Burungale Science and Arts College, Shegaon. His daily routine involves waking up at 4 am, studying for two hours, practicing “pranayam” (breathing exercises), and then continuing his studies from 8.30 am until 10 pm. Nirmal Gajare, Nilkrishna’s father, expressed his pride and motivation for his son’s success. He dearly wishes for Nilkrishna to achieve things he never could. Nilkrishna aims to study at IIT Bombay and pursue a career as a scientist. Currently, he is preparing for JEE-Advanced, which will be conducted next month in Shegaon.
